Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get an estimate for a project?”

Upon arrival, our estimator will do a detailed walkthrough with you and any other decision makers of the household. After discovering your exact needs, we take measurements,  customize a quote that’s tailored to your space, and go over each part of the quote with you so you have time to ask any questions you may have.

At Pinnacle Painting and Decorating, it’s not just about making a sale. We take the time to listen to your needs, and only recommend products and services that would benefit you and your family.

Pricing - How do we price jobs?

Residential:

Every project is unique. When we calculate a price, there are many factors that go into it. E.g. Preparation time and the number of coats needed, the brand of paint being used, the areas being painted and the size of each area.

Many clients will ask for a broken down quote with options. For example:

  • Option 1: walls and ceilings.
  • Option 2: stipple ceiling removal
  • Option 3: upstairs baseboards and door frames

We like to come down in person to assess your needs and make sure that we give you a quote that is tailored to your budget, so you can make an educated decision.

How fast can I get a quote?

When you reach out to us, we will get in touch with you to set up an appointment as soon as we can. Sometimes, estimates are completed the same day as the initial contact point. Other times, it may take a couple business days for an estimator to come out in person. Either way, we will work around your schedule and ensure that you are taken care of!

How long does it take to complete a job?

Every project will have a different timeline based on the preparation needed, number of coats, and the areas being painted. At the time of your quote, our estimator will be able to give you an accurate idea of how long the project with take.

What kind of paint brands do you use?

We have contractor accounts with all major suppliers: Sherwin Williams, Dulux, Benjamin Moore and Cloverdale. But, if you have a brand you know and love, we’d be happy to use it!

Do we need to be home while you paint?

You are welcome to be home if you want, but you don’t need to be home in order for us to paint. In fact, many clients will purposely go away on vacation and come back to a completed project.

Do you take precautions to keep my space clean?

The very first thing we do upon arriving on-site is laying down drop sheets to ensure the project is kept clean and tidy. We also plastic off any areas that could be in jeopardy during the project.

Will you be pressure washing before starting my project?

Areas that would most likely require power washing would include stucco, brick, masonry surfaces, decks, siding, etc. We know which surfaces are too fragile to withstand the pressure of water and act accordingly.

Are your employees bonded?

Yes, all employees are bonded and insured. We do extensive background checks on all of our staff.

How do you hire your staff?

All new employees go through an extensive screening process. All new candidates start off with an interview over the phone, continue with an in-person  interview with our President, then have a 40-hour onsite interview with our Operations Manager. If they pass all 3 interviews, they will be hired and put on jobs where they can use their skills to benefit our clients.

Are you a student paint company?

No. All of our painters range from 10-35 years of experience. We do occasionally have a helper on site to assist our experts with holding ladders, doing some preparation, and performing basic rolling with supervision. At Pinnacle, we believe that everyone should be given a chance to grow and develop their skills, but when it comes to projects that require great detail and skill, we only have our most experienced painters onsite.
