Drywall Repair Process
- We assess all cracks, holes, dents, and damaged areas and provide a customized solution
- We protect the surrounding areas before completing the work
- We repair the damaged areas which may include installing new drywall, repairing plaster, taping joints, and applying the necessary coats of compound
- Once the areas are repaired, we sand all areas while containing the dust
- Lastly, we apply a primer coat to all repaired areas in order to prepare for final painting

Painting drywall is a bit of a tricky process. Drywall is mainly composed of two components: the drywall, which is gypsum covered with paper, and the joint compound that keeps everything together (also made of gypsum), called mud. The paper surfacing on drywall is super absorbent, and will soak up paint faster than the areas that are covered in joint compound; when painted improperly, this means joints and screws will be obvious to the naked eye. We can employ a variety of drywall finishing techniques that mean we can paint on the surface without joints appearing, even under the closest scrutiny.
